Foreword

A
personal Note:
The God of the Scriptures says, "Come, let us reason together"
(Isaiah 1:18). Without those Scriptures we would not be able to
reason that we might comprehend and
understand what 'God has spoken' and 'now speaks to us
through His Son' (Heb.1:1-2).
The Christian faith is a religion of the book.
When I say book, I propose those scriptures that the Apostles
used to prove that Jesus was the Christ of God, the means of
salvation for a lost desperate mankind.
If God has indeed spoken
then it only makes sense that the responsibility falls upon man
to hear him. I believe that there is no greater responsibility
for the present generation to pass on to the next a clear
testimony to the truth of God. For where should we turn if we
neglect so great a salvation and the hope that is set before us.
I realize
that this may present a problem for a lot of people, as it will
certainly be brought up, "what about those who never had a
chance to hear?" I don't know about the man in the jungle who
wears a grass skirt and who has never seen a book much less able
to read.
I don't know about those who die in infancy or born
deaf, dumb or blind. This I know, God commands all men
everywhere to repent and believe that which he has spoken (Acts
17:24-31). I also know that God calls out to those who have 'the
eyes to see and the ears to hear' and calls them blessed
(Matt.13:16, Mark 4:7). Not all men have the eyes to see and the
ears to hear that God has indeed spoken. Not all men have faith
(2Thess.3:2). Therefore, those men are in God's hands and that
is where I am to leave them.
I believe, therefore I speak!
God has given to those who
are to be His people, and He their God, the eyes and ears
required to see and hear Him. (2Cor.6:16, Hebrews 8:10,
Revelation 21:3). I also believe that it is in and by His grace alone
which makes this possible. All a man can do in end is to believe
and trust in the one who does all things well.
My hope and prayer is,
that what you find here will help you in your confirmation
and understanding
in the God of Truth. As God moves in your life
may he give you the eyes to see and the ears to
hear and the heart to believe. May you come to understand the
God who is Life, the granter and the sustainer in whom we each
'move and have our Being'. May the God of Truth 'Bless you' by
leading you into 'the Life' for which He alone possesses, immortality,
the Glory of God, the promise and blessed hope of those who put their trust in God.
